Otodio Ltd is a three year old company with headquarters in London, England. Various wide ranging patents have been filed.
Otodio is a private company which has had investment from its founders and a range of high profile external investors.
- Iain Burns (Board Advisor) Qualified accountant with a pure
mathematics degree. Became Finance Director of Octopus
Publishing Group Plc and has since been CEO of several publishing
and printing companies including Macmillan, Aspen Group PLC and The
Stationery Office.
- John Redford (Board Advisor) John has 20
years experience of software development and technical management.
John is a Director of Engineering at Broadcom. He was a Founder and
VP Systems and Software of Element 14. John played a critical role
in raising $13M VC funds for Element 14 which was subsequently sold
to Broadcom for $640M. Previously John was Technical Director/CTO of
Acorn Computers. John holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge
University.
- Peter Bond (CEO) holds a first class engineering degree and a diploma in finance and accounting. He spent much of his career in international business development, including being Commercial Director/CIO of Bratsky LPK, a £200m public company. He was international Business Development Director for Cyveillance, a VC funded dot.com company and has worked as an interim manager for VCs sorting out various problem companies. He has established several successful companies, including PerfectPlay Ltd, which distributes optical disc repair machines and also has over 100 branded consumer outlets.
- Steve Barlow (CTO) has 25 years experience in electronics and software
development. He co-founded Alphamosaic, the mobile video startup in
2001 and following the sale of the company for $125M to Broadcom in
2004 worked as Senior Director of Engineering developing their next
generation video solution with a team of 80 people. Prior to
Alphamosaic, Steve was an Associate Director at Cambridge
Consultants where he worked for 16 years on a wide variety of
product developments. He has a starred first in Electrical Sciences
from Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
- Steve Allen (VP Engineering) has 17 years experience in electronics and software development. He was a member of the founding team of Alphamosaic, and a Senior Engineering Manager at Broadcom following the sale of the company in 2004. Prior to Alphamosaic, Steve worked as a Researcher at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence and an Engineer at Cambridge Consultants. He has a PhD in Cognitive Science from Birmingham University and a MSc in Microelectonic Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
- Nick Parry (Business Development Director) holds a degree in Technology and Management from Bradford University and has extensive experience in sales, marketing, strategy and management with companies such as CMG and Kerridge. In the past he has established a consultancy focused on helping grow small IT companies.
- Arri Pienaar (Delivery System Architect) Completely architected and implemented the carrier grade iTouch
mobile content delivery architecture in 25 countries. This followed on from wide ranging experience in Unix, Linux and Windows
infrastructure environments.
- Adrian Browne (Embedded Devices) Engineering Masters Degree, Emmanuel College, Cambridge, MBA, Designer and architect of; the Java software for www.fieldworker.com; java/GPS system for whale tracking; wide range of financial and mobile software for CIBC etc.
